Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 12 Recap

It's baaaaaack! I'm back. You're back. We're all just back to watch this go down. The fall season of Awkward is here and I'm actually surprised to see it back so soon. I recapped episodes in the spring, which was only a few months ago. I remember when Awkward would only come on once a year. Eh, whatever. I guess I should start by giving a little summary just to refresh our memory of what happened last season.

Jenna got this new college boyfriend who broke up with her because she was still hung up on Matty. Tamara and Jake broke up and then she catfished him. Sadie and Matty kissed but felt kind of grossed out by it...which shattered my heart into a million pieces. And then there's Eva, the lying sociopath who trapped Matty with a baby. 

And that brings us here.

So, I'm assuming some time has past (maybe a few days, a week--something) because Jenna and the entire school are starting to stress over finals week. Jenna sees Matty, tries to talk to him, and guess who pops out of nowhere like she always does? Eva. She tells Matty that he shouldn't talk to Jenna because it makes her upset and that's not good for the spawn of Satan growing in her womb. It's only sixty seconds into the show and I already want to bitch slap her. Anyway, so the day goes on and Jenna goes to Luke, her college ex-boyfriend, to apologize and give him some little care package. While she's showing off everything in the box, a girl walks up to him and urges him to go with her to a show or something like that. It's pretty clear Luke has moved on.

I'm Feeling 22!

Nearly a week ago, I turned 22. And I have to say--I feel OLD. I felt old when I turned 21, but all of my fears of growing old were masked by the realization that I was now legally able to buy and consume alcohol.

As I grew older, I realize that birthdays are just another day. No more big parties like when I was five or six. Nope, it's nothing but happy birthday texts and if I'm lucky, a cake. But I'm totally okay with that. I don't expect people to bend over backwards just because I survived another year without dying.

The only thing I wanted for my birthday (and this going to sound so silly) was a CAKE with my NAME on it. That's it! Cakes just seem so much more meaningful with your name on it, right? And guess what? My sweet mom got one for me! It was a huge cake with butter cream frosting and cream cheese filling, and it was delicious. So, thanks, Mom! I can always count on her to make every birthday special <3

And thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes! I never received so many in my entire life!

Because, it wouldn't be an official 22nd birthday post without this song!

Awkward - Season 4 Finale Recap

Oh, my God! This had to be one of the best finales of Awkward ever. Okay, maybe not ever, but it was pretty close! Bravo to the writers for making me disdain a TV character with so much passion.

The finale was broken up into two back-to-back episodes, and the first episode started off with the senior class taking their senior ski trip. Matty and Eva are all cuddled up, Jake and Lissa are looking too friendly, Val is going overboard, like she always does, Tamara and Jenna are trying not to look at Matty and Jake, and oh, yeah, Jenna's parents are on the trip, as well. While on the bus, Matty tells Sadie to pretty much back off of his relationship with Eva and Sadie snaps. And by snap, I mean, attacks Eva and eventually gets kicked off the bus for the trip. When they get to the slopes, Tamara ditches Jenna and she's all alone, until Luke magically comes out of nowhere! So she's all giddy now, but all of her giddiness stops once she's about to get on the ski lift and Eva trips her, causing her to miss the lift with Luke. Eva takes her place and Jenna is stuck with Matty.

Pretty Little Liars - Season 5 Ep. 1 Recap

Yeah, that's right--I'm a PLL fan too! This show annoys me so much but I've been watching this since I graduated high school and I've read ten books out of the entire series, and I have invested way too much time to quit this show, dammit! I feel like we're never going to figure anything out, and when we do find out who A is, I'm going to be pregnant with my first child. But this show is like crack and I'm so glad I have my weekly fix...even though I get pissed off and annoyed beyond belief each and every week.

Okay, so after that crazy finale, (I'm still mad at Hanna for not SHOOTING A!) we're back, and we see Ezra getting wheeled off in the ambulance. Aria wants to go, but the girls agreed that they need to step back before they look even more suspicious. And while the ambulance is driving away, we see A on top of it. Oh, my God--I laughed so hard! I died, came back to life, and died all over again. That has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen on this show. Well, besides Toby looking all gangsta in jail.

The girls split up, because you know, that's ALWAYS a good thing to do when you have a stalker after you. They devise some type of scheme to get A away from Ezra and Aria. The girls spot A at the hospital wearing some weird mask and I just have to ask: why hasn't anyone noticed this creep walking around town looking like this? A needs a life or a new hobby. They have way too much time on their hands. Anyway, the girls end up trapping A at some park, but then a whole bunch of As come out of nowhere and I'm just confused as hell. First, I don't even know how their planned work, and second, what's with the A flash mob?

Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 8 & 9 Recap

So here I am with TWO Awkward recaps this week, and only because I skipped episode 8 last week. I was busy finishing up some work and then I had to put out a new video on YouTube and it was just a MESS. But I'm back and ready to start recapping these shows for ya, especially since next week is the season finale! Time flies, doesn't it? It feels like it was just yesterday I was mentally cussing Jenna out for sleeping with Matty. Ah, good times. Anyhow, let's get to it!

Episode 8

I'll be real--it wasn't that great. Jenna thought Luke was cheating on her when she and Tamara decide to surprise him at his dorm, and saw a girl on top of him, massaging his back. Come to find out, it's his friend and the girl is a lesbian. Tamara ends up sleeping with the girl, or at least that's what was implied. Jake and Matty are stuck in jail and when they try to get in contact with Jenna, she ignores the call because the number is blocked. Eva goes to Jenna for help to get them out of jail and Jenna helps her out, but Eva tells Matty that Jenna didn't want to help them at all. If anything, this episode just made me want to slap Eva through the TV. I mean, I always get the urge to slap her, but my pimp hand was feeling pretty damn strong last week. I give that episode a solid 4.

Episode 9

Now, this episode definitely made up for last week. I actually found myself walking out of the room at one point. I know, I know--drama queen. 

Awkward - Season 4 Episode 7 Recap

Whoa, this episode was actually one of the better ones! My heart ached a little, I laughed, and my dislike of Eva grew to an all-time high. Let's get onto the recap! :)

Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 6 Recap

I'm sorry this post is a tad bit late. Fun fact about me: I go to sleep at an embarrassingly early time, so that means I usually watch my shows in the morning on DVR. But today, my entire neighborhood's electricity had to be cut off because...well, actually I have no idea why it was cut off, but we were without power from 9 AM to 7 PM. But anyway, I watched the episode as soon as the power was cut on and now here we are! Let's get started on this recap of a kind of uninteresting episode.

Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 5 Recap

I have to say--I had a love/hate relationship with this episode. I absolutely loved Sadie this week, which has pushed her up to my favorite character this season. But I also hated Jenna's story line in this episode. I'm a bit over the cliches and the overall predictability of her actions. But I will continue watching, because just like Pretty Little Liars, I have invested way too much time into this show to just quit. Now let's get onto this recap! :)

Bella's 4th!

As you all may know, I have a little five pound Shih Tzu, that I love very, very much. Her birthday was on May 2nd, and I decided to do something special for her. Now, I didn't go all crazy and throw a full on birthday party. But I did get her a hat and a little birthday cookie.

I know for some people, this may be a bit excessive. You might think it's just a DOG. And I used to think the same way before I had a dog, but Bella is much more than a dog to me. She's my baby! I know, you're probably rolling your eyes by now. But seriously, most of my friends have kids and they're already popping out baby number two...and we're only 21. So they have their kiddos, and I have my puppy. 

Having Bella around has completely changed me as a person. I have no idea what I'd do without this little fur ball. I didn't know it was possible to love an animal so much! :)

Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 3 Recap

Okay, so I have to admit--I really loved this episode. My friend had told me it was boring before I got a chance to watch it, so I was going in it with very low expectations. But this episode was actually pretty good! Let's get on with the recap :)

My Disneyland Adventure! Curses, Final Destination, and Annoying Pirates!

So the reason why I posted the "Amusement Park Must-Haves" post was because I was going to Disneyland this week. I had gone last Decemeber for Christmas, and my God, it was ridiculously crowded! I have a video on my YouTube channel that shows just how insane it was around that time of the year. Luckily, the park wasn't as crowded this time around. But although it wasn't as crowded, we definitely had some problems. Keep on reading to see exactly what I'm talking about. I swear, I think I'm a Disneyland curse.

Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 2 Recap

The second episode of the new season was on last night, and I have to say, I was so happy it was only half an hour this week. I used to love the hour episodes, but last week was just way too long for me. Anyway, let's get onto the recap!

Awkward - Season 4 Ep. 1 Recap

Before I start the recap of Tuesday night's episode, I just want you all to know that I'm a huge Awkward fan, and I was surprised how fast I was addicted to the show when I first saw it. It was very different than any other show I have watched, and I think that's why so many people love it. And maybe because there are pretty hot guys on the show, as well.

Last season of Awkward was definitely interesting during the second half of the season, but the first half was pretty dull. And by dull, I mean, I could barely get through the thirty minute episode without feeling the need to change over to Tosh.0 or American Dad. But luckily for MTV and us fans, the second half of the season delivered. And although Jenna made me roll my eyes every time she opened her mouth, I was satisfied with the way the season ended.

Now, let's get on to last night's premiere! This one is going to pretty long since it was an hour instead of thirty minutes!

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog! I have wanted to start a blog for the longest, and now I finally found the time to get one up and running. I'm still working out a few bugs and learning how to work this thing, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of things once time goes on. The name "Sugar, Spice, and Diamonds" comes from "Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice". I thought it was a pretty nice name, but I think a lot of things are pretty nice, so...
